Power of Chrysocolla

Chrysocolla is one the softest, gentlest of stones I carry. It can bring buried emotions to the surface. Its main role is to soothe, calm and inspire. Its color alone is soothing with a deep blue-green which might remind you of a distant mountaintop or the stillness at the bottom of the sea.

Chrysocolla is associated with harmony, increased wisdom, clarity, tranquility, peace, calmness, restore balance, intuition, patience and unconditional love and is known as a healing stone among Native American cultures where it has been used to strengthen the body's resistance to illness and emotional duress. It can be used to purifying the home, environment and the mind. Use it to decrease nervousness and irritability. To recharge it you can leave it with a piece of genuine hematite over night.

Proper Care for Chrysocolla

Chrysocolla is a very soft and beautiful gemstone. Special care should always be taken to keep the stone in a nice polished condition. Do not put in in a steam or ultrasonic cleaners. Clean it with clean water and a soft cloth. Household chemicals and prolonged exposure to excessive heat should be avoided as they can cause permanent damage to the stone and this coating.

Chrysocolla jewelry should be stored separate from other jewelry items that can easily scratch it. Avoid hitting your chrysocolla jewelry with sharp blows as this can fracture and shatter the stone.
